Brad Millington, PhD
Brad Millington is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University. His research has two main areas of focus: sport media and technology; and sport and the environment. He is the author of Fitness, Technology & Society: Amusing Ourselves to Life (2018, Routledge) and co-author of The Greening of Golf: Sport, Globalization and the Environment (with Brian Wilson, 2016, Manchester University Press). His work appears in a range of other outlets as well, such as The Sociological Quarterly, New Media & Society, and The Conversation.

Michael Naraine, PhD
Michael Naraine’s primary research is in the area of digital sport management and marketing, examining the strategy, fan engagement, and analytics related to new developments in the sport business landscape (for example, social media, eSports, blockchain). In 2019, he was named a Research Fellow of the North American Society for Sport Management and, in 2022, he was named the American Marketing Association’s Emerging Scholar for Sport and Sponsorship-Linked Marketing. He is an elected board member and sits on the executive committee of Canada Snowboard.

Parissa Safai, PhD
Parissa Safai, a Full Professor at York University, specializes in the socio-cultural study of sport, examining intersections of risk, health, and healthcare. Her research delves into social determinants of athletes' health and addresses sport-related inequalities, emphasizing gender, socio-economic, and ethnocultural impacts on accessible physical activity. Beyond her academic role, she served as Special Advisor for Academic Continuity Planning and COVID-19 Response in 2021-2022. She also contributes to journal editorial boards, the Executive Board for the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport, and began a four-year term as President of the International Sociology of Sport Association in January 2024.

Andrew Manley, PhD
Andrew Manley is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Bath. His research focuses on human interaction, organizational culture, surveillance and control. He has an additional interest in the city, issues of urbanism and culture. He has published on these topics in book chapters and in a wide range of academic journals, including but not limited to: Culture and Organization, City & Community, Surveillance & Society, and International Journal of Cultural Policy and Organization. His work has also featured in the following media outlets: Forbes.com, The Guardian, and The Conversation.

Liz Wanless, PhD
Liz Wanless researches advanced analytics application to various aspects of sport organization operations from customer relationship management to the use and diffusion of natural language processing (NLP) in the sport industry. In addition, she has conducted invited workshops explaining artificial intelligence applications and impacts for sport. Prior to her academic career, she competed for Nike, Asics, the New York Athletic Club, and Team USA as a professional track and field shot putter maintaining top 20 in the world for 5 consecutive years.
